The Victoria International High School Programs (VIHSP) is an organization that recruits international students to study in Victoria. These students provide a large amount of revenue to the Victoria school system.
In January 2004, the Victoria International School Program approached Hot House to re-brand the organization and to develop consistent brand identity across all of their marketing communication materials. Aside from having a variety of inconsistent materials, the organization had experienced frustration over a lack of design and production quality with past vendors.

Hot House undertook a communications audit and made a number of recommendations on the content and usage of their materials. As a result some materials were discontinued, some were combined and a couple of new ones were added. Having finished the initial audit, Hot House worked with VIHSP to change their name, establish a new brand (including logo) and to develop a consistent, organized look for all their materials. The program even included a “Print Materials Code System” to identify at a glance what piece was needed, in which language and which reference docket it was originally developed under. This system has allowed for quicker retrieval of materials for revisions and/or reprinting when necessary as well as an easy system for VIHSP to identify collateral for shipping.
Collateral included marketing brochures, info sheets and forms for four different programs, printed in up to nine different languages. In addition, Hot House produced tradeshow displays, posters and advertising used worldwide. Working closely with VIHSP, translators and printers, we are able to produce all of the new materials for the upcoming year in a few, short months.
VIHSP is extremely happy with the results. From providing a brand that reflects their vision to streamlining their internal systems to providing sales tools that work, this project has provided value for both their target audiences and their staff.
The branding has allowed them to add new materials to the system with ease and has resulted in cost-savings.
